  • Angel sharks are very different from other shark types. They are considerably smaller and commonly inhabit sandy seabeds close to 150m. While the anterior part of the angel shark's body is broad and flattened, the posterior part retains a muscular appearance more typical of other sharks. Angel sharks have now been classified as critically endangered.
